Since then, every year there is a meeting of pilgrims on December 8.\r\n\r\nThe is named after Bouchard Island in the Vienne river, between the two parts of the village where generations of the  Bouchard family built a castellum. \r\nBouchard III is the founder of the now famous church in the late 11th century.\r\n\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignleft wp-image-731 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/gitecollinedubonheur.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/theneuil-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/>Theneuil is a farming hamlet, with only 300 inhabitants.
